    Babyliss Wand Curls

Babyliss Wand Curls I have really thick blonde hair. It has always been the envy of my friends and family but to me, I have never been happy. I spent hundreds of pounds during my teenage years getting my hair permed, coloured and cut trying to find the perfect style to represent me. Alas I never did. I spent my twenties and most of my thirties not being able to manage or style my hair. This led to years of shoddy hairstyles not to mention the occasional set of bangs! And one (or two) episodes of pink hair! So that brings me to today. I have grown my hair to…

    LifewithChristine is under construction!

LifewithChristine is under construction! I have finally taken the plunge and scrapped the terrible WordPress themes (no offence WordPress!)   I have been seriously struggling to find a theme for my blog since I removed the PIPDIG one (you can read why here)   After the scandal regarding Pipdig being able to wipe out websites using a plugin I have to admit I got totally freaked. It is super disheartening for someone like me who has invested time (and money) building their website and creating content only to hear it can all be wiped out/destroyed etc.   Therefore I have been trying out a few WordPress themes in order to…

Josh Wood: Colour Shade Shot Gloss

Josh Wood: Colour Shade Shot Gloss review   I have tried Josh Wood’s hair products in the past (see here).  The shampoo and conditioner are amazing and I have repurchased several times. My favourite so far has been the ‘Everything mask’ as it is such a versatile product.   Seriously if you haven’t tried it yet then put it on the top of your list!   ‘No two colours I create are ever the same, just like one’s iris or fingerprint is never genetically reproduced. That unique human essence means experimenting with tones and hues to unlock the best version of a person.’ Josh Wood   So when I saw…

    Summer Hair Care . . . I’m coco-nutty about it!

Natural World Haircare This past few weeks, I have been trying out the Natural World Coconut range.   Not only does it smell lush, but the smell takes me to sunny beaches and blue skies. I have bleached blonde hair which dries out like crazy in the hot weather leaving it crisp and dry. Not the ideal look I must admit! So will this live up to my expectations? Let’s see.   About the brand Natural World hair is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. There are no nasties in there and the range is also free from parabens, phosphates, phthalates, dyes and gluten. The coconut smell is so good! This is because…

One Minute Review: Denman Shower Brush

Recently I stayed at my parent’s house and I was intrigued to see that they had a Denman Shower Brush in their guest shower. It belonged to my sister-in-law who has masses of long, thick brown hair. So I asked what she used it for. She said it helped her apply and comb through shampoo and conditioner while keeping her hair from getting tangled and knotted. I mulled it over for a few days. I liked the thought of it but would it work for me? Luckily my local Gordons Chemist had them in stock so I popped one into my basket and brought it home. Background Denman brushes are…

    Phyto PhytoKeratine Extreme Exceptional Mask

I was recently very kindly gifted some PHYTO haircare goodies from Cosmetics Online. This is a relatively new beauty company based in Ireland and they have a wonderful range of beauty and hair products. As you may have seen I have recently bleached my hair a little blonder for the Florida sunshine. This has caused it, along with the swimming and hot-tubbing to become coarse and brittle. The product Enter PHYTO Haircare. Now I had heard of PHYTO haircare previous to this and had actually used it in the past. I had really liked it and can’t remember why I stopped. PHYTO takes care of the hair from the root…
