Belfast Fashion Week Press Launch 31.08.18

Belfast Fashion Week Press Launch August 2018.

Oh my goodness it is that time of year again!  We get to see the amazing fashion trends that will be gracing our high streets in the coming Autumn /Winter season.

Competition

I have never been to fashion week and this year I am gutted to be missing it again. We will be on holiday!

However I am delighted to be giving a ticket away so that one lovely follower of mine can enjoy the high street runway show.

More information will be available on my instagram page (@life_with_christine) so keep your eyes peeled.

So the fantastic Belfast Fashion Week is run by the amazing Cathy Martin.  I have mentioned her before on here and there is seriously no pie that this powerhouse does not have her finger in!. Fashion Week takes place twice a year in March and October.

So I am disappointed that I can’t actually make the runway shows. However I am delighted to be able to bring you a snipet of the key trends this season.

Trends

There are so many great trends that have carried from last season.  These include suiting and animal prints and I am absolutely loving these. I have many pieces of animal print in my wardrobe and I find that they suit everyone.

The official press launch took place today in the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast.

Drinks were on hand from the wonderful sponsor West Coast Cooler NI. The lobby was abuzz with the news that Jamie Doran had been lurking around the hotel this very morning!

Models were provided from CMPR Ireland and their hair and makeups were provided by Paul Meekin Hair, GHD, Oonagh Boman and Senna Cosmestics.

I have to admit that the models looked absolutely amazing and I am excited to try some of the hair and make up trends at home.

Again this year barely there makeup is bang on trend.

Sleek, sharp styles are counter balanced by soft fabrics and tailoring while tartan and leopard prints are teamed with softer hairstyles.

Below I have picked out some of the styles which are my favourite.

As you can see there are so many great pieces to be found on the high street.

Let me know what you think of the trends this season in the comments below.
