Kildare Village Trip (#NIBloggerBrunch)

Kildare Village Trip (#NIBloggerBrunch)

As a blogger in Northern Ireland I am very lucky to have the expertise and knowledge of the beautiful Cathy Martin behind me.

She is boss lady extraordinaire and also the founder of the #NIBloggerBrunch as well as Belfast Fashion Week. She has her own business at CMPR and takes precious time out from all this not only to blog herself at The F Words but to support all us local bloggers by bringing us together.

This event was something a little more special. Cathy and Kildare Village had collaborated in order to bring nearly 80 bloggers from the North down to Kildare Village for a day of brunching, painting and shopping!

The Day

We started the day off with an 8am meet time in Belfast. Luckily Cathy and the beautiful newly wed Zoe (Cathy’s right hand woman!) were there to meet us and provide us with a cup of much needed coffee to get the day started.

It is so good to meet up with all the girlies (and guys) that you meet in the blogging world. I have been made to feel so special and included. This has inspired me to be more dedicated to blogging and attending events.

I may have had my blog for over 3 years but it still took a lot for me to make the move and become more social.

I am always available to help if you are in the same position so don’t be afraid to contact me 🙂

Coffee drank and we were transported down to the stunning Kildare Village. The link between the North and the South is so good now and the journey was smooth and without delay.

We arrived and I was immediately impressed with how clean, tidy and well looked after the site was.

We walked through the village on the way to brunch. There is a kids playground and a kids imagination area so plenty for keeping the little ones amused while you are there.

The Food

There are plenty of places to eat and drink as well and we headed to Dunne and Crescenzi. We had prosecco on arrival and a delicious brunch including fruit platters, croissants, pastries and various bruschetta with tapenade and pesto.

We also had a choice of tea, coffee, fruit juice, water or more prosecco!

During the brunch we were invited to take part in the painting part of the programme.

We were guided through painting a beautiful card using poster paints. This was organised by the skilful Paint by the Pints who offer alternative party entertainment.

The Shopping

After brunch we set out to shop until we dropped!

The range of shops on offer in Kildare Village is amazing and the discounts are superb. I managed to pick up a beautiful fossil watch for less than €30! I also treated myself to some beautiful goodies in L’Occitane and Rituals.

Bearing in mind that the pound is weak against the Euro at the moment the savings could have been much better.

However they were still excellent and there were lots of bargains to be had. I even spotted some gorgeous shoes in AllSaints for €60 which I had previously spotted online at over £200!!

Some of the other girls picked up heavily discounted sunglasses from Dior and Ran Ban. Some choose handbags from Furla and Prada. I suppose it just depended on what your budget allowed as well as your eye 😉

The Village

The entire site at Kildare Village is stunningly instagrammable. There is such amazing attention to detail across the whole location.

They have beautiful lit up letters spelling out “happy”, “joy, and “love”. This is as well as rambling flowers displays and pastel pained bikes.

My favourite part was the little quotes they had positioned within little displays. Not to mention the real apple tress growing around the site and the gorgeous little pink painted dogs!

Check out the Kildare Village web page here to plan your visit I promise you it will not disappoint!
