As you may know, guys I have suffered from fibromyalgia for many years.
During this time I have seen many doctors and had my prescription medications changed hundreds of times. I have also tried other forms of pain relief such as Water therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Pain Management Counselling, Physiotherapy and many more. But nothing seemed to give me an easing of my symptoms.
My symptoms are not just pain. I also suffer from headaches, brain fog, confusion, fatigue, weariness, sensitivities such as to heat or noise, dizziness and irritability. When my pain levels are high then the other symptoms are also exacerbated. This can lead to me spending days in bed, shut away from the outside world and even my family.
It’s not a nice way to live.
I had heard great things about marijuana being used for medicinal use. My family had also previously suggested me using marijuana to help with my pain although I must admit that the thought of being ‘high’ wasn’t appealing to me. I had tried marijuana years before when on holiday in Amsterdam I knew it wasn’t for me. When the news broke about CBD oil – all the benefits of marijuana without the high I was curious to try it.
So when I was very kindly gifted some CBD Oil from Synerva Oils I could not wait to try it out. Could this be the miracle I had been waiting for?
Synerva Oils make their products using the finest hemp from Colorado, USA. They are Tetrahydrocannabinol free (THC is the component that gives marijuana it’s psychoactive effect/ high) as well as pesticide-free and NON-GMO.
Synerva Oils CBD Oil? Myth or Miracle – let’s find out!
I sampled the 10% 1000mg Oil for a month. I took 1 drop under my tongue each morning and evening, to begin with. This is the recommended starter dose and you can increase if you need to. There is plenty of advice to be found on the Synerva Oils website. I gradually increased my dosage as pain levels are very high. I would simply buy a stronger strength in the future so I could take less of a dosage each day. This would not be the case for everyone. Everyone reacts differently to CBD Oil so starting with a small amount is the best idea.
The oil I tried was not flavoured. The Synerva range includes peppermint flavoured oil and also gummy drops, or oil capsules are available as well as vape oil and massage oils.
Using the Oil
Taste and texture: The oil tasted just like olive oil. It wasn’t unpleasant but you have to hold the oil under your tongue for 60 seconds which was just about bearable for me. As the month went on I got used to the taste. The texture was just like oil although my mouth didn’t feel greasy after taking the oil. My IBS didn’t flare-up like some foreign substances can make it do. If you know you know!
Around 20-30 minutes after I took the oil I started to feel more relaxed. A sense of peace came over me and I felt relaxed and chilled out. My pain levels dropped from around an 8/10 to a 4/10. I was able to move around better and I felt more alert. My energy levels were slightly increased and I was able to do more things such as driving, writing and spending time with my son. The ‘foggy’ feeling in my head was reduced too so I felt like things made more sense. I became aware of just how connected my pain levels were with the other symptoms my body exhibits. While the CBD Oil reduced my pain levels, it also helped to reduce the other symptoms. This may seem insignificant but to me, it has made a huge difference in my day to day life. I have been able to enjoy a shower and take my time pampering myself. Something as small as this can be torture when you have chronic pain.
Would I use CBD Oil again? Yes definitely. Overall I found the experience to be positive. My pain levels were reduced and I was able to participate in everyday life.
Synerva Oils have a great Trust Pilot rating as well which you can check out here.
Until next time,
